Automatic Gas Tight Suit Verification Unit

Computer controlled operated testing unit that automatically inflates a suit from a compressed air supply (max 3.5 bar) and performs a pressure test giving a graphical display with a clear pass or fail indication.

As an option the Automatic Gas-tight Verification Unit is available with a separate pump which allows suits to be inflated without the need of an external compressed air supply.

The test cycle can be carried out by the equipment without an operator being present and with the display frozen the operator can return at any time to check on the status of the suit.

Automatic Test Box Service & Verification

The Respirex Automatic Test Box is designed with a precision solid-state pressure sensor to give a long, accurate service life. Unlike our previous test box designs, the sensor used does not require calibration during its lifetime and Respirex recommend that test boxes are only returned for service and verification every 5 years.

Our internal testing and experience indicates that a five-year service interval is sufficient; the box is designed to 'fail safe' so that if a leak were to develop over time in the internal pipework of the box it will only lead to a false report of a test failure, the unit will not pass a suit that leaks. If a test box starts to produce an unusually high failure rate it should be returned for inspection. In the unlikely event of the of a problem with the primary sensor there is a second over-pressure sensor in the unit that is designed to shut down the box and prevent over-inflation of the suit, again if this occurs the box should be returned for inspection.
