Respirex Testing Laboratory

The Respirex Testing Laboratory is UKAS accredited and offers a range of chemical permeation and physical testing services to European, International and American standards.

Chemical permeation standards include BS EN 374-3, BS EN ISO 6529:2001 and ASTM F739-07. If required we can still test to BS EN 369 although this standard has been replaced by the International standard.

Physical testing standards include BS EN 14325 with reference to standards BS EN ISO 7854, BS EN ISO 13934-1, BS EN ISO 9073-4, BS EN 530, BS EN ISO 13935-2 and BS EN 863.

The laboratory, based in Redhill, Surrey, has been operating since 1994 and was accredited in 1996. We provide a completely confidential, independent service to our clients who include manufacturers and users of gloves, chemical protective suit fabrics and suit components; also manufacturers of rubber or plastics-coated fabrics and both woven and non-woven textiles. The work is carried out as soon as possible and clients are kept informed of progress as the work proceeds.

The laboratory is unique in the UK as we are able to test gases as well as a wide range of liquid chemicals. These chemicals include hydrofluoric acid, hydrogen fluoride gas and the hydrous form of HF.
